Personal notes: Rotterdam sunshine and rain

Having travelled through the night from Calais, with a pit stop in Belgium, I arrived in Rotterdam with a few hours to go before the Nations Cup.

I wasn't expecting Britain to be in with such a chance of winning the FEI Top-Level Nations Cup league, surely the Dutch were going to pull off something special to claim glory on home soil?

Germany win Hickstead Nations Cup leg after three-way jump-off

The German team scored its second FEI Nations Cup win of the season after a jump-off with France and the USA. Marcus Ehning was nominated to take the pressure by chef d'equipe Sonke Sonksen. He couldn't have wished for a better result as Plot Blue jumped clear for the third time in one afternoon.

USA team for Rotterdam 2011 announced

The United States Equestrian Federation will be represented by five riders at the CSIO Rotterdam, which runs 24-28 August 2011.

Britian's World Class Performance Manager for Show Jumping, Rob Hoekstra, has announced the five riders who will be trying to defend Britain’s title in the British leg of the FEI Nations Cup at The Longines Royal International Horse Show.

Dutch secure Nations Cup hat-trick

The Dutch continued their triumphant rampage through the 2011 FEI Nations Cup series when recording their third victory of the season on the hallowed turf of Aachen, Germany, (14 July 2011). In a cliff-hanger of a competition, filled with all sorts of drama, the result was not decided until the last man entered the arena.

Sweden holds the lead in the 2011 FEI European Promotional League series following consistently good results over the past few weeks. Carrying 49 faults, they have a good advantage over the Italians and Swiss who are playing cat-and-mouse in second and third places, respectively, but with only a single point separating them.

Germany wins Falsterbo Nations Cup leg

It was a case of mission accomplished for the German team at Falsterbo, Sweden, yesterday (8 July 2011) when they won the fourth leg of the FEI Nations Cup 2011 and consequently rocketed up the series leaderboard to third place.

Belgian teams for Falsterbo and Aachen announced

The Belgian teams for the FEI top league Nations Cup clashes at Falsterbo, Sweden, and Aachen, Germany, have been announced.

In Falsterbo, Pieter Devos (Utopia van der Donkhoeve), Niels Bruynseels (Nasa), Jerome Guery (Waldo), Patrick Spits (Cadjanine Z) and Jan Vinckier (Ursela) make up the five-man squad.
