He won the class with his grey stallion Jadis de Toscane ahead of Guy Williams, who was a winner a day earlier with Orage but rode Titus II this time.
For Philippe, today’s victory with Jadis was very special.
"Jadis is out of the ordinary, I have him since he was three years old," he said. "Some months ago, he was condemned. He had major surgery last November because of a fracture and now he has a screw in the hock. Seeing him back in competitions is a very beautiful story.
"Bordeaux always suits me well. I win at least two classes every year. And yesterday’s second place with Idéal du Roy, who has more than 80 international victories, is like a first place to me."
