Peter Charles heads British international results for the weekend

Peter Charles and Murka's Rubert R
Peter Charles enjoyed a successful trip to the Salzburg CSI**** Pappas Amadeus Show (2-5 December) in Austria with Murka's Rubert R and Murka's Nevada.

The Hampshire-based rider was one of five riders to make the jump-off of the show's Grand Prix. Riding Olga White's Murka's Rubert R, he was third to go in the final round and went into the lead as the fastest double clear at that point. Switzerland's Steve Guerdat (Ferrari) followed and overtook him. Only the Netherlands' Eric van de Vleuten (VDL Groep Utaha SFN) remained, but a fence on the floor meant Peter secured the runner up spot.

Earlier in the week, Peter rode Murka's Nevada to victory in the Amedia Hotel Masters, beating the Netherlands' Willem Greve (Ukato) by 3 seconds.

Murka's Nevada also took prize money for finishing fifth and eighth in two speed classes, while John (Casino 43) and Robert Whitaker (USA Today) took fifth and seventh respectively in a 1.50m jump-off competition. One of John's rider for the show was Lucy Guild's Titi D'Oase and together they finished sixth in a speed class on the first day.

At the Gucci Masters CSI***** in Paris (3-5 December), Ellen Whitaker took third place in the Gucci men v women winning round with Equimax Ocolado. Ellen's Uncle Michael also had a third placing here with Little lady in a 1.50m jump-off class.

Grace Barton continued the British run of success in Spain at the Barcelona CSI* (3-5 December). Riding Simon Bontje, she took third in the Grand Prix.

Ponies/juniors/young riders
