British Amateur and Veteran Championships

The 2010 British Showjumping National Amateur and Veterans Championships took place at Aintree Racecourse 25-28 November 2010. There were competitions for all levels of amateur rider, from 90cm to 1.20m Grands Prix, and, for the more mature rider, the veteran Grands Prix.


Holly Broad from Bexley, Kent, was crowned the 90cm British Showjumping National Amateur Champion for 2010. Riding Tracey Broad’s eight-year-old bay mare Cruella, she jumped a double clear in a jump-off time of 28.84 seconds.

The 2010 1m Amateur Championship title went to Alana Stonehouse from Middlesbrough, Cleveland, riding Kathryn Stonehouse’s seven-year-old bay gelding Gin. The pair jumped clear in a jump-off time of 31.65 seconds, six seconds than second placed Pandora Bailey.

Derbyshire-based Debbie Clark took the 1.10m Amateur title. Debbie rode her own 12-year-old bay mare DC’s Classic Lady. She was drawn last to go in the jump-off and  jumped clear in a time of 40.10 seconds to be crowned champion.

The 1.15m Amateur title went to Lancashire's Lynne Clibburn, who rode her own 19-year-old gelding Ashdale Jackpot in a jump-off time of 34.69 seconds.

Caroline Etherington took the Minor Veteran Championship with her own 11-year-old gelding Rea Diamond in a jump-off time of 32.59 seconds, while Welshman Allen Brown beacme Major Veteran Champion with his 11-year-old bay gelding Dark Rebel.
