Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), the "World's Most Famous Horse Show", returns to Birmingham's NEC, Britain, for an incredible six days (4-9 October) in 2011 and it promises to be another exceptional event not to be missed.
Top-class international show jumping and the most prestigious national show jumping championships take place throughout the week, with competitors battling it out all season to obtain the coveted ticket for their opportunity to shine in the Andrews Bowen International Arena. Kicking off the national classes at HOYS on Wednesday, 5 October is the British Showjumping Amateur Championship.
Future stars
Many a household name embarked on their international career having cemented a win in the Horse & Hound Foxhunter final and Thursday, 6 October is a must for loyal followers of this prestigious title. The Harry Jo & Co Six-Year-Old Championship presents the UK's most talented young horses competing in the biggest event of their careers to date.
As well as young horses, there are young riders in the HOYS 128cms and the 138cms Championships taking place on Saturday afternoon. These riders are the future of British Teams, so watch them make their mark at HOYS. Harry Charles is making a pretty decent fist of following in his father’s footsteps and has already qualified three ponies for the former class, whilst Jessica Mendoza will be looking to land back-to-back Pony Show Jumper of the Year titles after again qualifying with her 2011 European bronze-medal winning partner Tixylix.

The crowd favourite Puissance returns during Saturday, 8 October's evening performance and is bound to once again have the audience on the edge of their seats as riders tackle the famous red wall.
Taking centre stage during the Gala Evening Performance on Sunday, 9 October is the Grand Prix, in which leading riders from across the globe who have been competing in the other international classes throughout the week will be going all out to be crowned Leading Show Jumper of the Year.
