Starhorses has confirmed the sale of Avenir, the former ride of Egypt's Abdel Said. The 10-year-old son of Phin Phin has been bought by Windsor Show Stables to be ridden by the the USA's Christine McCrea.
Avenir had been ridden by Brazil's Thiago Alexandre Carbeiro Pinto Ribas da Costa since he joined Albert Peffer's Star Horse in September, taking over from Abdel.
Last year, the young Egyptian thrilled crowds at London Olympia wwhen winning the Christmas Cracker with the gelding.
