Laura Renwick and Oz De Breve winning the HOYS Grand Prix |
Laura Renwick from Maldon in Essex and Oz de Breve’s Horse of the Year Show Leading Show Jumper of the Year victory has been voted Performance of the Month for October.
Laura, riding David Perry’s eight-year-old chestnut Selle Francais gelding Oz de Breve, was last to go in the jump-off and produced the fastest double clear to snatch the victory from a world-class field.
The Performance of the Month Award is an amalgamation of the former Show Jumper and Owner of the Month Awards, and recognises the achievements of not just riders, but horses and owners, too.
Chairman of Performance Development at British Showjumping, Clare Whitaker said: "It gives me great pleasure to award the October Performance of the Month to Oz de Breve, David Perry and Laura Renwick for their fantastic win in the Horse Of the Year Show Leading Show Jumper of the Year. My congratulations go to them and their hard working team."
Patrick Riley of Zamar TTT, sponsors of the Performance Award, added: "The title says it all......... the Horse of the Year Show Leading Show Jumper of the Year is Laura Renwick! Congratulations to David Perry and everyone in the Renwick team.”
