After the first day of show jumping at WEG, the USA holds the top positions in both the team and individual standings.
The team (Mario Deslauriers (Urico), McLain Ward (Sapphire), Laura Kraut (Cedric) and Lauren Hough (Quick Study)) sit in first overnight on a score of 5.69, over Germany (9.80) and France 11.32.
Mario and McLain jumped the fastest rounds of the day in the table C competition to hold the top two individual places respectively. Hungary's Sándor Szász put in storming round on Moosbachhofs Goldwing and sits third standings.
