King George victory wins BS August performance award

Tim and Colin and Ann Garratt’s nine-year-old bay gelding Fresh Direct Kalico Bay, jumped a fast double clear to take the €64,000 winner’s purse.

The Performance of the Month Award is an amalgamation of the former Show Jumper and Owner of the Month Awards and recognises the achievements of riders, horses and owners.


“It gives me great pleasure to award the August Performance of the Month to Fresh Direct Kalico Bay, Colin Garratt and Tim Stockdale, for their incredible win in the King George V Gold Cup,” said BS performance development chairman Clare Whitaker. “My congratulations go to them and their hard working team.”

Patrick Riley of Zamar TTT, sponsors of the award added: “Never mind King George; how about King Tim?  Congratulations Tim.”
