First two HOYS wild cards claimed

Rowallan Activity Centre in Fenwick, Ayrshire, hosted the first of two HOYS wildcard qualifying shows last weekend (9-12 September). British riders battled it out for the opportunity to compete in the international classes in Birmingham and it was Scotland's Jemma Kirk and Essex's Jo Pay who claimed the passes.

As well as 10 Britain's leading national riders, who are automatically eligible to compete at HOYS (6-10 October), an additional two places will be contested at Arena UK (23-26 September).

The international classes start on Thursday, 7 October and finish with the Leading Show Jumper of the Year Grand Prix, which takes place during Sunday’s gala night performance.
