According to horses.nl Edouard De Rothschild has told of his desire to compete Lamm De Fetan himself under the Israeli flag, with aims of travelling to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Edouard, who has dual French/Israeli nationality, has also stated that the horse will not be competed in this year's World Equestrian Games against France.
The horse, who was sold by the Mars family of Haras des M last month, was previously ridden by France's Timothee Anciaume. After ongoing disagreements with the French Equestrian Federation about whether the horse should be used for Global Champions Tour or Meydan Nations Cup duty, they decided to sell for what is thought to be a record amount approaching ten figures.
After the sale, the was much speculation on whether the stallion would be ridden by Portugal's Lucina Diniz, whom has the ride on another of Edouard's horses Winningmood, or by Germany's Ludger Beerbaum, who is Edouard's trainer. However, it would seem for the forseeable future Mr De Rothschild will be keeping the ride for himself.
The pair is still to make a competition debut.
